Lesedi Cover Plan provides a funeral benefit package that pays out a cash sum in the event of the death of a Policyholder, Spouse, Eligible Children and Extended Family Members.

Note: The policy covers people from 0 to 74 year's and policyholder needs to be between the age's of 18 year's and 74 year's to take up this policy cover.

WAITING PERIOD EXPLAINED

​

A waiting period refers to a person during the life of an active policy when no benefit will be paid if a claim event happens. The waiting period applies to any insured person who dies from natural causes and starts on the issue date of the policy.

​

STANDARD WAITING PERIOD

​

Our Standard Waiting Period is 6 Month's for all life's insured in this policy, from the age's of 0 year's up to 74 year's.

​

SUICIDE DEATH

 

Our Policy Cover do not cover suicide related deaths for a period of 24 Months.

Under Lesedi Policy Cover Plan we have 6 cover plan's

The Lesedi Policy Cover, covers you and your immediate family plus your extended family members, example of a Spouse will be (Husband/Wife), and all your children below the age's of 21 years. Children from the age's of ( 0 years up to 21 years ) are paid out a different amount under the same Policy Cover depending on the age they pass on at.

(EXPLANATION OF LESEDI CLAIMS OR PAYOUTS)

A. ( CLAIMS UNDER R5000 up to R10.000 )

​

"YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY" PLUS EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS

​

Note: The claim or payout on the R5000 up to R10.000  policy cover will be the same amount to that of the policyholder to the spouse and your children from 0 year's up to 21 year's of age, and to your extended family members from 0 years up to 64 years old.

"YOUR EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS"

​

Those extended family members that are from 0 year's up to 64 year's the cover pays them R10.000, but those extended family members that are between the age's of 65 year's up to 74 year's of age, the cover pays them R5000.

​

Those extended family members that are between the age's of 65 year's up to 74 year's of age, the policy cover will pay them from R3000 up to R5000 depending on the cover they follow under.

​

B. ( CLAIMS FROM R15.000 UP TO R20.000 )

"YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY"

​

Note: The claim or payout on the R15.000 AND R20.000 policy cover is the same amount payable to the spouse and to your children from the age's of 6 year's to 21 year's the cover pays them R15.000 or R20.000 respectfully to they cover, from 0 year's up to 5 year's of age your children cover will be R10.000.

"YOUR EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS"

Those extended family members that are from the age's of 0 year's up

to 64 year's, the policy cover will pay them the amount of R10.000.

​

Those extended family members that are between the age's of 65 year's up to 74 year's of age, the policy cover will pay them R5000.

My Family Plan provides a funeral benefit package that pays out an immediate cash sum in the event of the death of a Policyholder, Spouse, Eligible Children and Extended Family Members.

WAITING PERIOD EXPLAINED

​

Waiting Period is 6 Month's from the age's of 18 year's up to 74 year's and with exception for people between the age's of 75 to 94 year's of age, the waiting period for them will be 12 Month's.

ACCIDENTAL DEATH

​

Accident benefits for the main insured person, the policy cover amount will be doubled should the main policyholder passes on due to accident (Unnatural Causes), e.g Car Accident, except that of (SUICIDE). They will be no waiting period for accidental death cover. If the policy is been issued and approved and is active on that very same day we receive your first monthly premium or installment, you are automatically covered for accidental death cover.

SUICIDE DEATH

If a Policyholder or an insured person within the policy commits suicide the cover will not cover they death or claim up to a period of (2 YEAR'S).

1. Full Family cover plan under R10.000, you get cover for yourself and your spouse and all your depended children, this means children under the age's of 21 years of age. Stillborn policy cover is R1250 and Children under the age's of 0 to 11 months get a cover of R1250 and Children between 1 to 5 year's get R3000 and Children between 6 to 13 year's will be paid out R5000 and Children between 14 and 21 year's will be paid out R10.000, under this following cover plans R5000 UP TO R30.000 in respect with they're parents policy cover.

2. On My Family Policy Cover Plan, from R5000 UP TO R30.000, you can choose to cover yourself along with your spouse and all your children in the same cover. You can't include your extended family members, on the same policy cover plan, but how ever you can take up an extended cover for each one of your family members separately from the initial one you covered yourself and immediate family.

EXPLANATION OF MY FAMILY POLICY COVER PLAN NAME'S:

​

1. (FULL FAMILY COVER): it means You can choose to cover yourself along with your spouse and children.

2. (SINGLE PARENT FAMILY COVER): it means You can choose to cover yourself and your Children, without your Spouse.

3. (PARENTS ONLY COVER): It means that this policy covers only both Parent's without Children.

4. (SINGLE PERSON COVER): It means only one Parent or Person is covered on this cover. you can choose to cover yourself alone.

Your extended family members will be covered on a different cover, accept from yours. You can take a cover for them separately with an additional fee or premium.
